LLAKES Seminar: 26 November 2025  12:00-1.30  G12, Torrington Place (1-19), UCL Training Centre

Abstract

Europeanisation processes have shaped and organised the introduction of green and sustainable programmes in Member States, with the aim of aligning or developing national policies in line with EU guidelines. This seminar explores the influence of EU measures as soft law policy instruments on Italian adult learning policies, encouraging investment in green skills and green transition. It also examines the role of the main actors responsible for implementing the European Year initiatives in this area at a multilevel scale. Designed as a comparative study with Portugal, the presentation discusses the outcomes of interviews with national coordinators and the effect of Europeanisation on adult learning policies and systems.
